Church "outings" are just as much fun as church "innings". In August of 2007, we cheered The Reading Phillies to victory! The Phillies offer many other activities for children and adults alike. Below the stadium seats are midway type games for the kids and visiting sponsors for the adults. Women can get manicures and men can peruse the latest in stereo equipment. And what baseball game would be complete without hot dogs, French fries and a beverage! PPPPLLLLLAAAAYYY BALL!!!

Mission Trips are very rewarding but so much work! Once a year, between 30 and 40 youth and adults travel to help others in need. In seven years, we have traveled to Canada, New York, North Carolina, West Virginia and Delaware. In June of 2008, we will travel to Oak Hill, WV to help with home improvements. We do several fund raisers a year such as a car wash and a 50's Drive In.

In February of 2006, a very creative group offered to serve a Mystery Dinner. The menu listed each dinner item in "code". We were given the opportunity to decide in which order each item was to be served. This also included napkin, silverware and beverage. Some folks were served soup without a spoon or dessert before an appetizer. Even our identities were a mystery! Only one person was able to "decode" the menu and was served his meal all at once!

For some of us, the 50's were not so long ago. For others of us, it's an excuse to wear pink and black, rolled up t-shirt sleeves and don a pair of roller skates. Though this is a fund raiser for our Mission Trips, it is also a wonderful way to fellowship and share car knowledge, old memories and bridge the generation gap.
